RESONATORS (Ongoing)

Beginning in June 2020 I began building my own ceramic feedback instruments after learning about the Greek architect Markus Vitruvius’s Earthenware sounding vessels. After building my own ceramic vessels and revealing their haunting tones via microphone and amplifier feedback, I became excited by the counter-intuitive idea of electronic intervention bringing forth the dormant sounds of organic materials. Through improvisations with the vessels, found objects, electronic filters, and oscillators, a reframing of ceramic material begins to emerge.
